WasteX is a New Zealand construction technology company. Its platform brings the dockets, receipts, invoices and photos a project already produces into one record, then helps teams report on waste, carbon and compliance with the original document attached to every figure. WasteX began as WasteXpert, founded in Auckland in 2023 by Jean-Luc Ellis, Logan Soole and Max Lawton, and won the University of Auckland’s Velocity $100k Challenge that year. It works with Auckland Council Waste Solutions and Waitematā Local Board on construction waste reduction programmes.
