WasteX Carbon
Carbon information comes from a lot of places: fuel, electricity, transport, machinery and materials. WasteX helps bring the supporting records together, so project teams can calculate, understand and report the emissions they have information for.

Most project carbon questions don’t fail because the maths is hard. They fail because the inputs are scattered — fuel invoices with the accounts team, delivery dockets on site, power bills somewhere in a shared drive.
WasteX works on the activity data your project is already generating, applies published emissions factors to it, and shows the working. You get a number, the inputs it came from, and the assumptions behind it.
Every figure can be opened up: the activity it came from, the factor applied, and the unit it’s expressed in.
ACTIVITY
Haulage distance recorded across 62 removal trips
FACTOR
Published road freight factor for the vehicle class
RESULT
Attributed to haulage for this project, this quarter
Emissions are modelled from submitted activity data using published factors — they are calculated, not directly measured. Coverage depends on which sources your project records.
A total on its own doesn’t tell a project team much. Broken down by source, it tells them where to look.
Delivery and removal trips carry distance, vehicle class and load, so haulage emissions are built from recorded movements rather than a flat assumption.
Fuel draws, plant hours and metered electricity are captured where your project records them, and converted using the matching factor.
Where something is estimated rather than measured, it says so. Factor, unit and source are shown next to the figure instead of buried in a method appendix.
The workflow assumes the person producing the report is not the person who generated the data.
01
Trips, fuel, energy and material movements come in from the records your project already produces.
02
Each activity is matched to a published emissions factor for its type, with the unit carried through the calculation.
03
Totals split by source and by site, so a spike has somewhere to be traced back to.
04
Reports carry the inputs and assumptions, which is what a reviewer asks for first.
WasteX does not replace specialist verification. It gets the inputs, the factors and the working into one place so a verifier has something to review.
Sustainability managers
Who need to see which sources are driving a project’s footprint, not just the total at the bottom.
Carbon practitioners
Who want the factor, the unit and the activity visible so the method survives review.
Contractors
Who are being asked for emissions data by clients and need a repeatable way to produce it.
Developers & principals
Who are comparing projects and want the same basis used across all of them.

Carbon figures are built from the same records your waste and compliance reporting uses. One set of data, three jobs.
